Sarah Emerson
Sarah Emerson is a singer, songwriter from Seattle, Washington. Following behind the heels of her songwriting grandmother Berta Emerson, she has penned lyrics and had poems locally published since childhood.
She was first noticed for songwriting at her local church where she wrote a song called “What Joy.” It was released and went viral covered by many people around the world including Susan Ashton. Inspired by her faith, she ventured to play and sing for people both with and without faith. Her first album was released in 2012, self-written and produced by her friends.
From there she played gig’s around the city and nearly sold out the Triple Door. She’s an avid supporter of orphans around the world and gave the proceeds of her first project to build a dormitory in Uganda that now sleeps 400 children.
